Meet Pastor Nathan
About Pastor Nathan
Nathan’s family: My beautiful wife is Lenzie Cobb. Together, we have two wonderful boys; Coda and Kai. Lenzie and I married in October of 2019 and have been at Legacy Church since February of the same year.
Ministry Role: I have been the Admin at Legacy, the Young Adults Leader, and now serve as the Connections Pastor. I often tell people my job can be summed up in a simple phrase: “Connecting you to people and places that you fit best.” I mainly oversee our Serve Teams & Volunteers, Assimilation, Membership, and Connect Groups (small groups).
How long have you served in ministry: I grew up as a PK (Pastor’s kid) so I have been in ministry my entire life. In 2017 I started part-time at a church in my hometown leading a Young Adults group and working as Admin. In 2019 I moved to Hot Springs and have been at Legacy Church full-time ever since.
Regular order at Starbucks: I'm a bougie coffee-at-home kinda guy, but a flat white with honey and vanilla and an extra shot is the move. I LOVE Onyx Coffee out of NWA. You will often find me with a coffee in my hand and a smile on my face.
Favorite sports: Football and basketball. (Go Cowboys)
Favorite Band/Music: SEU Worship, Tiffani Hudson, Elevation, Capital City, Caleb Gordon, and a mixture of indie and rock.
Favorite books: "Man's Search for Meaning" by Viktor Frankl and pretty much any Agatha Christie mystery. The bible is implied here, right?
Favorite TV show and/or movie: The Office/Original Trilogy Star Wars/Dune Saga
Favorite scripture: James 1, Psalm 57, 1 Corinthians 15:55
Favorite Bible story: David's path to kingship. From the pasture to the palace he was patient and allowed God to lead even when it was hard.
People who inspire me: My wife for the things she has endured with grit and grace, and how she has given me two beautiful children to raise, my parents for how they navigate the hard world of being pastors, and those who have that “Matthias mindset” of serving others faithfully without needing the recognition of those around them.
One thing that most people don’t know about me: I have been skydiving. Yes…it is terrifying. Yes…I’d do it again.
Least favorite thing to do: Laundry and going to bed early.
What makes me laugh: My wife, children, and friends.
